Custom Synthesis, LLC has been recertified by Perry Johnson Registrars for continued operation as a 9001:2000 company. Our latest registration will be active through 2010.

Custom Synthesis, LLC has added a votator to our facility. A Votator enables the simultaneous cooling and packaging of highly viscous materials. This piece of equipment will be used for custom manufacturing of a variety of product.

Custom Synthesis is in compliance with ISO 9001:2000.
We are accredited by the RvA,
Dutch Council for Accreditation,
a deemed Supplier by
Perry Johnson Registrars, Inc.
and accredited by ANAB.

Reaction Chemistry

1.  Phosphate Esters

Acid ester via phosphoric anhydride and polyphosphoric acid synthesis routes.
Sodium, potassium and amine salts of phosphate esters ranging from 30 - 80% active.

2. Carboxylate type surfactants where an alcohol is reacted with sodium chloroacetate to yield a crypto anionic which can function like its phospate counterpart.

3. Sulfated Alcohols via the Sulfamic acid route. Custom Synthesis is a major supplier of sodium 2-Ethyl Hexyl Sulfate ( 40% solids ). This is similar in the industry to Sulfatex OA. Our name is Custom 8425. We also manufacture sulfated NP-5. These reactions take place in our 2000 gallon glass lined reactor.

4. High temperature esters made from mono and polyfunctional alcohols and acids. Our hot oil equipment is capable of performing at temperatures up to 280 C.

5. Amidation where a fatty acid is reacted with a polyfunctional amine to yield an amido-ester for use in fabric softeners.

Emulsion Chemistry

Our reactors are tag tested such that we can make polyethylene emulsions throughout the functional range.

We manufacture both micro and macro silicone emulsions in our shear mixing vessel (Meyers mixer).
